If you are offered COBRA, regardless of your election, you are not eligible for Nebraska CHIP until the COBRA period has been exhausted (typically 18 months). If you have been diagnosed with a Nebraska CHIP specified condition, this exclusion is waived. However, you will have a six-month waiting period for pre-existing conditions.
